An extra bed for a family member? Of course! You want to bring a pet with you, or you need a charging station for your electric car? No problem at all! The sauna will be heating, and you can order a light evening snack in your room. All will be well, as we say around here.

Lietsu is a peaceful and safe hotel, and it has been declared a discrimination free zone. For us, all people are equal and we warmly welcome everyone to Lietsu.

Karelian breakfast and evening snack

Our Karelian breakfast is served every morning at our lobby (Mon–Fri 7:00–9:30 and Sat–Sun 8:00–10:30). The breakfast includes, among others, traditional porridge, local pasties and bread, a variety of toppings from producers nearby, tastes of lake fish, locally sourced eggs, forest and garden berries, locally produced berry juice, and not forgetting the delicious coffee from a local roastery. You never leave the table feeling hungry in North Karelia!

When staying at Lietsu, the breakfast price is 12,50 € /person, otherwise for adults and children over 12 years 16 € /person, children 4–12 years 8 € /person and children 0–3 years for free.

You may also order a tasty cold evening snack (12,50 € per person) in your room and enjoy a delicious bite whenever you wish.

Coffee, tea and cocoa, as well as fruit and oatmeal portions are available to all our guests in the breakfast room on the 5th floor at all times.

Sauna with a view

Our sauna is located on the 5th floor. Just let us know when you wish to go, sit back and enjoy the relaxing heat. We offer free private 40 minute sauna subject to availability.

Pets at Lietsu

Your furry friends are welcome to stay with you in one of our pet-friendly rooms. When you make your reservation, please let us know if you are bringing a pet. A food bowl and a towel will be provided by Lietsu. The price for pets is 15 € per night, we can accommodate a maximum of two pets in the room.

Accessibility at Lietsu

We strive for excellent service with a personal touch for our guests. Lietsu Boutique Aparthotel has two rooms with wheelchair access, one of which can accommodate for a guide dog. Bicycles

Joensuu and its surroundings are easy to take over by bicycle! Please ask our reception about the availability of our three bicycles that can be borrowed free of charge. During the summer, you can also rent electric scooters and bicycles in the city area.

Gym

The EasyFit gym downstairs is available to our guests for free all around the clock. The keys to the gym can be obtained from our reception.

Luggage storage

You can leave your luggage at the reception free of charge after your stay or if you arrive before check-in time.

Souvenirs

There is a small souvenir shop located in our reception, where you can buy souvenirs and North Karelian cosmetics. You can also ask at the reception if it is possible to buy local delicacies, e.g. Karelian pasties.

Parking at Lietsu

Our parking area is located at the northern end of the hotel building being marked with red Lietsu signs. You will get a parking permit from our reception and if you will be arriving late, we will place it in your room on request.

If the hotel’s parking area is full, you may also park at P-Toriparkki (entrance Koskikatu 2). For parking at P-Toriparkki, the car registration number must be provided to us at the latest upon arrival, tel. +358 44 7520 500. Use of the parking machine is not needed.

Parking in the Lietsu parking area as well as in P-Toriparkki are chargeable (10 € /night) and you will get the permit at the reception.

Electric car charging

Two electric car charging points are found at the hotel’s parking area. Their use is possible by Plugit-application. Additionally, at P-Toriparkki there is an ABC Charging station with several charging points (11 kW, Type 2). If the charging places are free or not reserved, also other hotel clients can park in those normally.

Lietsu meeting rooms

Lietsu has two meeting rooms, which are available for booking for private functions. The main meeting room is situated in the 2nd floor and has space for ca. 20 persons. The room includes a projector, camera, sound and internet. Also, fridge and WC are available.

The smaller meeting room (for 6-8 persons) with sauna is located on the 5th floor, overlooking the River Pielisjoki. The meeting room functions also as the sauna dressing room. The room includes a 55’’ screen, fridge and stationery, as well as a WC.

Catering is available on request for both premises. Bookings are compulsory for the meeting room and catering and must be made at our reception 7 days beforehand at the latest.
